What is paraxanthine?
Paraxanthine is the primary metabolite your body produces when it breaks down caffeine. Roughly 70–80% of the caffeine you drink is converted to paraxanthine by your liver's CYP1A2 enzyme. It's a distinct molecule from caffeine, with its own profile. We deliver it directly — no conversion step.
Is Pack A Punch caffeine-free?
Yes — it contains no caffeine. Paraxanthine acts on the same adenosine pathway caffeine does, which is why it registers as alertness. Long-term tolerance to standalone paraxanthine hasn't been studied yet — we'd rather tell you that than guess.
How many serves per bottle?
Each 500 ml bottle holds 40 half-serves (12.5 ml) or 20 full serves (25 ml). At a full serve a day that's just under three weeks. At a half serve, over a month.
When will I feel it?
Most people notice it within 20–30 minutes, lasting roughly 3–5 hours. It tends to taper rather than drop off. Individual responses to stimulants vary a lot — metabolism, body weight and whether you've eaten all make a difference.
How is it different from coffee or an energy drink?
Coffee gives you the whole caffeine molecule and lets your liver split it into three metabolites — paraxanthine, theobromine and theophylline. Pack A Punch starts at paraxanthine. Plus five more actives, no added sugar, and a dose you control rather than a fixed can.
Does it cause a crash?
Straight answer: we don't know for certain, and neither does anyone else. The energy-drink crash is mostly adenosine rebound — the stimulant clears and the adenosine that's been piling up floods back in. Paraxanthine also works on adenosine receptors, so a similar mechanism could apply. We've built for controlled dosing and a shorter half-life than caffeine. We haven't run a trial proving no crash, so we're not going to claim one.
How much should I take?
Start with a half capful (12.5 ml) mixed into 300 ml of cold water. If that suits you, step up to a full capful (25 ml). Do not exceed one full capful in 24 hours, and avoid it within 6 hours of sleep — paraxanthine is a stimulant.
Who shouldn't use it?
Adults 18+ only. Not for children, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor first if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, a history of anxiety disorders, known stimulant sensitivity, or take prescription medication — especially anything metabolised by CYP1A2, or cholinergic medication. Never exceed one full capful (25 ml) in 24 hours, and always read the label.
What does the research actually show?
Honestly: it's early. The published human trials on standalone paraxanthine are small — 12 participants each — and mostly industry-funded, with co-authors who hold patents on the ingredient. They suggest paraxanthine may support cognitive performance, reaction time and sustained attention. That's interesting, not proven. We set out the full picture, caveats included, on our science pages.
Is it made in Australia?
Yes — made in Australia from imported ingredients.
